These Terms & Conditions are governed by Dutch law, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection provisions that apply in your country of residence.

1.2. Scope
These Terms & Conditions apply to all offers, orders and purchases made by consumers through the official De Parme Design webshop.
They do not apply to wholesale purchases or agreements with retailers, which are governed by separate terms and conditions.
1.3. Amendments
We reserve the right to update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in our business operations or applicable legislation. The version applicable to your purchase is the version in force when you place your order.
Changes will not affect orders already accepted, unless required by law or agreed with you.
1.4. Consumer Rights
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to exclude or limit any mandatory rights you may have as a consumer under applicable law.
2. Ordering Through Our Webshop
2.1. Placing an Order
Our webshop offers fine jewellery and other designs created by De Parme Design, including rings, earrings, bracelets, necklaces and other selected products.
You can place an order by selecting your desired product and any available options, adding it to your shopping cart and completing the checkout process.
Before completing your purchase, please carefully review your selection, including the product, size, material, gemstone, quantity, delivery address and payment details.
2.2. Order Confirmation
After placing an order, you will receive an order confirmation by email. This confirmation acknowledges receipt of your order.
A binding purchase agreement is formed when your order has been accepted by De Parme Design. We will notify you if we are unable to accept or fulfill your order.
Please check your spam or junk folder if you do not receive our confirmation.
2.3. Order Changes and Cancellations
Once an order has been placed, changes or cancellations may not always be possible, particularly if production or preparation has already started.
Please contact us as soon as possible if you wish to make a change. We will do our best to assist you.
This does not affect any statutory cancellation or withdrawal rights you may have as a consumer.
2.4. Product Availability and Errors
We make every reasonable effort to ensure that product descriptions, images, availability and prices on our website are accurate and up to date.
If an item is unavailable, or if a material error occurs in the product information or price, we will contact you to discuss an appropriate solution. Where we cannot fulfill an order, we may cancel it and refund any amount already paid.
We reserve the right to correct genuine errors in our webshop, subject to applicable law and your statutory rights.
2.5. Natural Variations in Materials
Our jewellery is crafted using precious metals and, where applicable, natural gemstones and diamonds.
Natural gemstones may vary in colour, tone, shape, inclusions and appearance. These variations are inherent characteristics of natural materials and contribute to the individuality of each piece.
Product photographs are intended to provide an accurate representation of our designs. However, slight differences in colour, appearance or proportions may occur due to the natural characteristics of materials, lighting and screen settings.
Such natural variations do not automatically constitute a defect, provided the product conforms to its description and applicable legal requirements.
3. Prices and Payment
3.1. Prices
All prices displayed in our webshop are in the currency indicated and include applicable VAT where required, unless explicitly stated otherwise.
Any applicable shipping costs or additional charges will be displayed before you complete your purchase.
Prices may change without prior notice. A price change will not affect an order that has already been accepted.
As our jewellery is crafted using precious metals and gemstones, production costs may be affected by fluctuations in material prices. Any applicable price will be clearly communicated before you place your order.
3.2. Payment Methods
We accept the payment methods displayed at checkout. The available methods may vary depending on your location.
Payment must be completed using one of the accepted methods before an order is processed, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Your payment will be processed securely through our selected payment service providers.
3.3. Custom and Made-to-Order Jewellery
Certain pieces may be made to order or produced following your selection of size, material or other available options.
Any applicable production time, payment conditions or additional requirements will be communicated before your order is finalised.
Unless otherwise agreed, full payment is required when placing an order through the webshop.
3.4. Products Available on Request
Certain designs may be available by request rather than through direct online purchase.
If a product is listed as “Price on Request” or similar, please contact us for further information. We will provide a quotation and any applicable delivery estimate.
No purchase agreement is formed merely by submitting an enquiry. An agreement will be formed once the specific offer and order have been accepted by both parties.
4. Delivery and Shipping
4.1. Delivery Destinations
We deliver to the destinations made available through our webshop. Available destinations and shipping charges will be displayed during checkout.
If your country is not listed, please contact us to enquire about the possibility of delivery.
4.2. Delivery Times
For products that are in stock, our standard delivery times are:
- The Netherlands: Delivered free of charge within 3–5 business days
- Europe: Delivered within 7–14 business days. Shipping costs will be quoted upon order placement.
- Worldwide: Delivered within 7–21 business days. Shipping costs will be quoted upon order placement.
For custom or made-to-order jewellery, the estimated delivery time is generally 6–10 weeks, unless another timeframe is communicated for the specific product.
Delivery estimates are provided in good faith and may vary depending on product availability, production requirements, quality control and the delivery destination.
If a delay occurs, we will inform you where appropriate and comply with applicable statutory delivery requirements.
4.3. Shipping and Delivery Costs
Deliveries within The Netherlands are free of charge.
Shipping costs for Europe and the rest of the world will be quoted upon order placement.
Unless otherwise stated, any delivery estimate begins once your order is ready for dispatch and all necessary order and payment requirements have been fulfilled.
4.4. Shipment Tracking
Where tracking is available, you will receive shipment information by email once your order has been dispatched.
If you have questions about the status of your delivery, please contact our customer service team.
4.5. Responsibility During Delivery
De Parme Design remains responsible for the goods until you, or a person designated by you other than the carrier, have physically received them, unless applicable law provides otherwise.
If your order does not arrive or arrives damaged, please contact us as soon as possible so that we can investigate and assist you.
4.6. International Orders
For orders delivered outside the European Union, import duties, customs charges and local taxes may apply depending on the destination and the shipping arrangements.
Any such charges and the party responsible for paying them will be communicated where applicable. Unless expressly stated otherwise, you are responsible for import charges that are legally payable by the recipient.
5. Returns, Exchanges and Right of Withdrawal
5.1. Statutory Right of Withdrawal
If you purchase jewellery through our webshop as a consumer, you generally have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days without giving a reason.
The withdrawal period normally begins on the day you, or a person designated by you other than the carrier, receive the product.
To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform De Parme Design of your decision within the applicable period by making a clear statement.
You may contact us using the details in Section 10 or use the applicable withdrawal facility provided through our webshop.
After notifying us of your withdrawal, you must return the product without undue delay and within the statutory return period.
5.2. Condition of Returned Products
You may inspect a product to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning in the same way you would reasonably be able to do in a physical shop.
Please handle all jewellery carefully and return it, where possible, in its original packaging, together with any accompanying certificates, documentation and accessories.
You may be liable for any diminished value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the product, as permitted by applicable law.
5.3. Return Shipping Costs
Unless the product is defective, incorrect or otherwise covered by a remedy for which we are responsible under applicable law, you are responsible for the direct costs of returning a product following withdrawal, provided this has been communicated to you before purchase.
For valuable jewellery, we strongly recommend using a secure, tracked and appropriately insured shipping service.
5.4. Refunds
If you validly withdraw from a purchase, we will refund the payments received for the returned product.
We may withhold the refund until we have received the returned product.
Refunds will be made using the original payment method unless you expressly agree otherwise. We will process refunds within the applicable statutory timeframe.
Additional costs resulting from your choice of a more expensive delivery method than our least expensive standard delivery option do not have to be refunded where permitted by law.
5.5. Customised and Personalised Products
The statutory right of withdrawal may not apply to products made to the consumer's specifications or clearly personalised, as defined by applicable law.
This may include certain bespoke or individually customised jewellery created specifically according to your personal requirements.
The exception does not automatically apply to standard products, standard sizes or ordinary made-to-order products simply because they are produced after an order is placed.
Where a product is not eligible for withdrawal, we will communicate this clearly before you complete your purchase.
Your statutory rights relating to defective or non-conforming products remain unaffected.
5.6. Exchanges
If you would prefer a different size or another available product, please contact us to discuss the options.
Exchanges are subject to availability and may require a new order or a return followed by a separate purchase.
Any statutory withdrawal rights and legal remedies remain unaffected by this section.
5.7. Incorrect or Damaged Deliveries
If you receive the wrong item or your product arrives damaged, please contact us promptly and include photographs where helpful.
We will investigate the issue and arrange an appropriate solution in accordance with your statutory rights, which may include repair, replacement, a price reduction or a refund, as applicable.
We will not charge you return or other costs that we are legally required to bear in resolving an incorrect or defective delivery.
6. Product Quality, Warranty and Repairs
6.1. Craftsmanship and Quality
De Parme Design creates fine jewellery inspired by nature, organic shapes, heritage and Dutch design.
Our jewellery is crafted with care and attention to detail. Materials and finishes are selected in accordance with the specifications of each design.
We take reasonable care to ensure that our products meet the descriptions and quality standards communicated on our website.
6.2. Statutory Legal Guarantee
All products purchased from De Parme Design are covered by the applicable statutory consumer rights.
If a product is defective or does not conform to the agreement, you may be entitled to repair or replacement free of charge, a price reduction or termination of the agreement and a refund, depending on the circumstances and applicable law.
These statutory rights are separate from any additional commercial warranty and cannot be excluded or reduced by these Terms & Conditions.
6.3. Care and Normal Wear
Fine jewellery requires appropriate care. We recommend handling your jewellery carefully and avoiding unnecessary exposure to impacts, pressure, chemicals and other conditions that may damage delicate materials or settings.
Normal wear and tear, accidental damage, improper use and damage caused by unauthorised alterations or repairs may not be covered by an additional commercial warranty.
However, these circumstances do not automatically exclude any statutory rights you may have where a product fails to conform to the agreement.
6.4. Additional Warranty
Any additional commercial warranty expressly offered by De Parme Design will be communicated with the relevant product or in a separate warranty statement.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, no additional commercial warranty is offered beyond your statutory rights.
6.5. Repairs and Maintenance
If your jewellery requires repair or maintenance, please contact us before sending the item.
We will assess the issue and, where appropriate, advise you on the next steps and any estimated costs.
Repairs required to resolve a defect covered by your statutory rights will be handled in accordance with applicable law and at no cost to you where required.
For repairs resulting from accidental damage, normal wear or other circumstances not covered by our legal obligations, charges may apply. Any costs will be communicated before chargeable work begins.
6.6. Reporting a Problem
If you believe your product is defective, please contact us with your order number, a description of the issue and, where possible, photographs.
We will review your claim and inform you of the appropriate next steps.
Nothing in this section requires you to report a defect within an artificially shortened period or limits the statutory time limits and rights applicable to your purchase.
7. Intellectual Property
7.1. Ownership
All intellectual property rights relating to De Parme Design, including its brand name, logo, jewellery designs, product photographs, texts, graphics and other website content, belong to De Parme Design or the relevant rights holders.
These rights are protected by applicable intellectual property laws, including trademark and copyright law.
7.2. Permitted Use
You may access and use our website for personal, non-commercial purposes in connection with browsing and purchasing our products.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, publish or commercially exploit our designs, photographs, texts, logos or other protected material without prior written permission from the relevant rights holder, except where permitted by law.
7.3. Website Content
We make reasonable efforts to ensure that our website is accurate and available. However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access or that all website content will always be free from errors or technical interruptions.
Nothing in this section excludes liability where such exclusion is prohibited by law.
8. Privacy, Cookies and Website Use
8.1. Privacy
We process personal data in connection with your order, payment, delivery, customer service and other legitimate business activities in accordance with applicable data protection law, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Please consult our Privacy Policy for detailed information about the personal data we collect, how we use it, the legal bases for processing, retention periods and your rights.
8.2. Cookies
Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to enable essential webshop functions, improve website performance, analyse usage and, where applicable, support marketing activities.
Non-essential cookies will be used in accordance with applicable consent requirements.
Please consult our Cookie Policy for further information and details on how to manage your preferences.
8.3. Third-Party Services
Our webshop may rely on third-party service providers for payment processing, delivery, analytics and other functions.
Your use of third-party services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies. De Parme Design remains responsible for its own obligations under applicable law.
9. Liability, Force Majeure and Applicable Law
9.1. Liability
De Parme Design is responsible for fulfilling its contractual and statutory obligations in accordance with applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, gross negligence where applicable, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
We do not exclude or limit your statutory consumer rights or any mandatory remedies available to you.
9.2. Force Majeure
In circumstances beyond our reasonable control, such as natural disasters, serious disruptions to transport, industrial action, government measures or significant interruptions to essential services, the fulfilment of an order may be delayed.
We will take reasonable steps to minimise the impact and keep you informed where appropriate.
This provision does not remove any statutory rights you may have, including rights relating to delivery delays or cancellation.
9.3. Applicable Law
These Terms & Conditions and any purchase agreement with De Parme Design are governed by Dutch law, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules that apply in your country of residence.
If you are a consumer residing in another country, this choice of law does not deprive you of protection afforded by mandatory provisions of the law that would otherwise apply.
9.4. Complaints and Disputes
If you have a complaint about a product or your order, please contact us first so that we have an opportunity to resolve the issue.
If a dispute cannot be resolved directly, you may have access to consumer dispute resolution services or competent courts in accordance with applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions prevents you from exercising any rights available to you under applicable consumer protection legislation.
