Welcome to my captivating world, where nature transforms into jewellery

From a very young age, I was drawn to the beauty of the natural world. As a toddler, I recreated a bird’s nest I had found in a park in Paris and rode my beloved pony, Pocco, through the woods surrounding Palace Soestdijk. My dear grandfather, Prince Bernhard von Lippe-Biesterfeld, a devoted protector of nature, taught me to love and respect it as our source of life. Together with Pocco, I ventured through quiet woods, breathing the fresh air and gazing at the treetops. I always gathered pieces of bark, twigs, leaves, and flowers along the way, keeping them as precious treasures. Little did I know that these early moments would lay the creative foundation for De Parme Design jewellery creations today, as well as for my everlasting commitment to giving back to nature.

Caring for nature, is my second nature

Our appreciation for nature and biodiversity goes beyond inspiration; it is part of our heritage and a legacy we wish to carry forward. Princess Margarita de Bourbon de Parme, daughter of Princess Irene van Lippe-Biesterfeld and the late Carlos Hugo de Bourbon de Parme, was taught from a very young age to love and care for our planet.

Biodiversity is at the heart of life’s resilience. It shapes the delicate balance of our ecosystems, found in grasslands, scrub, forests, and waters, biotopes that also inspire the creations of De Parme Design Jewellery. Through her collections, De Parme Design honours nature’s beauty and variety, seeking to pass this legacy on.

Preservation is important, yet responsibility goes further. We are called to protect what remains, prevent further harm, and support initiatives that nurture the earth. Actions such as planting trees, strengthening biodiversity, sourcing materials responsibly, and contributing to a healthier environment are close to our hearts. We actively support the organisation Trees for All, donating a percentage of the proceeds from De Parme Design Jewellery.

Heritage and Design

H.R.H. Princess Margarita de Bourbon de Parme enjoys working with new materials and graphic shapes, drawing inspiration from nature. Her family tree includes both a Southern European (Italy and Spain) and a Northern European branch (France and Germany). In her designs, she unites these cultural differences, blending the intense 'southern' emotions with the 'northern' inclination towards simplicity, clear lines, and the elegance of such linear patterns.

De Parme Design is a brand that combines luxury, sustainability, and social responsibility, where each design tells a story of a deep connection to nature and plays a part in restoring our planet.

To express this connection, Princess Margarita has become the patron of the Trees for All foundation, supporting its mission to encourage more people to take part in nature restoration efforts.
